Our CLOUDKNINE dachshund puppy gotcha day details

At CLOUDKNINE Dachshunds, our puppies are raised with exceptional care and thoughtful intention from the moment they’re born in our home. We carefully evaluate each puppy’s temperament to match them with loving homes where they will truly thrive. All parent dogs undergo comprehensive health testing to reduce hereditary issues, and we proudly offer a two-year health guarantee against life threatening illnesses.

 

When our puppies are ready to go to their new homes they include:

  • Microchip,
  • A veterinary health check,
  • All required vaccinations & vaccine record book,
  • A puppy contract, 
  • 2-Year health guarantee,
  • A lifetime of support,
  • A lifetime return policy, and
  • Pet insurance trial. 

 

Each puppy will also go home with a thoughtfully curated puppy pack including;

  • Full bag of food,
  • Treats,
  • Toys,
  • A blanket with mom and siblings scent, and
  • Misc. supplies.

Our placement journey is designed to be supportive and informative every step of the way:

  2. Tell us about you and your family.  Share your background and what you are looking for in a companion.
  3. Ask any questions you have about our program or the breed.
  4. Ensure you feel like we are a good fit for your choice in a quality Miniature Smooth Dachshund. At this point, we will have gotten to know you and determine if one of our puppies is the right fit.
  5. Make the commitment to a CLOUDKNINE puppy with a non-refundable deposit.
  6. Trust the process as we guide you through.
  7. Prepare for your puppy’s arrival by setting up their new home.
  8. Maintain open communication with us throughout.
  9. Review the paperwork before signing the contract and ask any questions you may have.
  10. Pick up your puppy and love them unconditionally!
  11. Keep in contact after placement; we love hearing how our pups are doing in their families by receiving updates.

What makes your puppies extra special and well-prepared for their new homes?

Our CLOUDKNINE Dachshund puppies are raised with the utmost care and attention from the very start. We carefully assess each puppy’s personality and find the perfect home where they can flourish. Puppy selections usually occur around 6-8 weeks of age, when their personalities begin to shine. Potty training typically starts around six weeks to make the transition easier, and socialization begins right from the beginning, exposing them to different sounds, environments, situations and people to help them develop into confident, well-rounded companions.

What essential information should people know about the parents of the puppies currently available or expected?

All of our CLOUDKNINE kennel dogs earn their Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) Championships before breeding, recognized as strong, correct examples of the Miniature Smooth Dachshund breed. Our dogs also undergo comprehensive health testing and are OFA CHIC certified once all testing is completed, with publicly accessible health test results for full transparency. We use these results alongside careful evaluation of temperament, structure, overall health, and compatibility to thoughtfully pair each breeding. Every match is planned with intention to support the long-term health, soundness, and temperament of the breed. We breed for ourselves, aiming for at least one puppy to stay in our program for future show and/or breeding prospects.
